Panty Party 2013

A panty party is a fun event to have to get all your friends together to decorate panties for gynecological awareness event Panties Across the Bridge. Today Rhonda Davis Johnson held a panty party!

Rhonda is a big advocate for gynecological cancer awareness. In 2011  Rhonda lost her daughter Natalie to cervical cancer. Rhonda immediately after learning of Natalie's diagnoses began to fight hard to make every woman aware of gynecological cancers.
Today Rhonda and her family and friends got together to honor Natalie and celebrate her birthday by decorating panties to be hung on the Purple People Bridge on July 13. 2013 at the Panties Across the Bridge.

Natalie holds a special place in this Foundation. Natalie was the first person this organization was able to help after being diagnosed.

Thank you Rhonda for sharing your pictures of your panty party with us. Thank you for sharing Natalie with us. Thank you for working so hard to help us raise awareness for gynecological cancer! You are truly appreciated and loved!

Please share pictures of your panty party with us!

Panties Across the Bridge Inspirational Speakers

Panties Across the Bridge is our largest awareness event! We want to educate women everywhere about the signs and symptoms of gynecological cancer. We hang thousands of pairs on panties on the Purple People Bridge to get people to gain people's attention.

What other way can we educate women? Have survivors tell their story! On July 13th the 2 Founders of the Make A Noise For Ovarian Cancer Foundation will be speaking at our bridge lighting ceremony to share their story.

Christina Klein is a 9 year survivor of Ovarian Cancer. She will be here to tell you her story. Chrissie Landolfi lost her mother to Ovarian Cancer. She will be here to tell her experiences. Together we hope their story can make a difference in your life. We hope their story will help you listen to your body- "it whispers, so listen."

Please join us on July 13, 2013 at 9:00pm to hear these two amazing ladies speak followed by lighting the Purple People Bridge teal for the first time ever!

Florence Freedom Jaymie Jamison Foundation Night

The Jaymie Jamison Foundation for Hope got to be the receiving charity for the June 16th Florence Freedom baseball game! It was a ton of fun, and we raised awareness for gynecological cancer while we were there!

Jaymie's youngest child and only son, Jet Jamison got to throw out the first pitch!

Jaymie's oldest daughter Hope sung the National Anthem.

The players all wore teal ribbons as did the staff present that day.

Thank you for the opportunity for us to be apart of such an amazing opportunity. We enjoyed it greatly! People came up to us and told us how they had heard about is. They learned about our upcoming event, Panties Across the Bridge. We hope we were able to educate people about gynecological cancers. If we can save just one life we know we did our job. We love we can continue to fight the battle Jaymie started.

Thank you to everyone who came and participated in this awesome event!

Never Fight Alone Comfort Kit Donation

On May 31st the Jaymie Jamison Foundation for Hope made a donation to the Adams County Cancer Center. The donation consisted of 20 Never Fight Alone Comfort Kits.

What is a Never Fight Alone Comfort Kit? When Jaymie was sick and going through treatment her body changed and went through a lot. She needed different things to help her be comfortable. We wanted to reach out to women going through treatment to let them know we care about them and are supporting them in their battle. After brainstorming we came up with the idea to donate items to women that were helpful to Jaymie.

In January, 31 Consultants Natalie Vogel and Jennifer Ralston were able to help us get the bags to use to place the items in. This bag will also be helpful to the women to take things with them to treatment. In each bag we placed dry shampoo to help them feel clean when they are too sick to wash their hair. Facial wipes to help them wipe off when their too sick to shower. Healing lotion as their skin often gets very dry. Chapstick as their lips often dry out as well. A tooth brush with soft bristles, mouthwash, and toothpaste for sensitive mouths as someone going through treatment can get sores in their mouths. It included hand sanitizer as their immune systems are low. Also donated were shampoo, conditioners and body wash. Each bag received water bottles with the slogan " Never Fight Alone". There were mints to help with a dry mouth. And journals for thoughts, questions, and appointments.

We were able to make our first donation to the Adams County Cancer Center. They welcomed us and our donation with open arms! We got to tour their facility and showed us their new state of the art technology and equipment. It was amazing! We couldn't have picked a better place to make our first donation!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 31 sales to make this possible. Thank you to all who golfed in the Teal Off to Cancer Golf Outing as the proceeds from the outing made this possible! We could not keep supporting women as they battle cancer and keep fighting Jaymie's battle if it weren't for you! We are thankful for each and everyone of our supporters on a daily basis and we could not tell you how
thankful we are! Thank you everyone for helping us make a difference and letting people know we truly care!
