Recap of the 4th Annual Panties Across the Bridge

Yesterday we held the 4th Annual Panties Across the Bridge! It was another amazing year for such an inspirational event! We met people from all over. Women traveled from Somerset, KY and Louisville, KY from Northern Ohio to see the event. Survivors, Fighters and families of Angels walked the length of the bridge admiring the panties.  The event made news on channels 5,9 and 12! We are really making a difference with gynecological cancer awareness! If we can encourage at least one woman to get a yearly screening we did our job! Ladies have you scheduled your yearly exam?

Thank you to all of our sponsors for Panties Across the Bridge! Sponsors included: Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati, Dr Schwartz, Seven Hills Women's Center, For Women Inc, Hoertsmann Builders, Cincinnati Interiors, Blackboard, Cumberland Shell Inc, Q-102, Vincent Lighting, hydro Systems, Adams County Cancer Center, Tele-vac, Sams Club, Jeff Wyler, Mike Castrucci, The Chrome Divas, Alicia Eads Photography, Kandice Smith Photography, Southwest Airlines, and EC Nurr Funeral Home.

Thank you to all the survivors and fighters and families of angels who sent their photos in to hang on the purple people bridge for awareness. We love to be able to honor you and your battle. We want you to know were in this together! It also helps others to see that gynecological cancer doesn't discriminate. We are all at risk for gynecological cancer.

We had a health fair from 11am-3pm. We had several booths along the ramp leading to the bridge.

Q-102 was broadcasting from the event. Thanks for joining us! Q-102 also promoted the event during the month of July! Thank you for your continued support!
St Elizabeth was on site doing cardiovascular screenings! Thanks St Elizabeth!
Proscan was there and had special guest Dr Schwartz to answer any questions anyone may have had. Thank you Dr Schwartz and Proscan!
Free Stress tests were given by Newtown Health!
Stacy Holbert was there selling charms and even giving chair massages!
Jamberry nail consultants were on hand and even had teal ribbon nails!
Megan Seip was there representing Origami Owl. She is a great contact for teal ribbons to go in your Origami Owl necklace.
Pink Zebra consultant was on hand!
Cancer Support Community was there!
Warrior Cancer Boxes were there!

Thank you to all our vendors! We know it can be hot out there and you all did great!

At 4pm our live music began. A big thank you to The Fite family for running the PC system for all of our bands. You do an amazing job!
Them There Mountain Men, a bluegrass band began the afternoon. You did great guys!
Johnny and the Lugnuts followed with an outstanding performance.
Gypsy Stone did an amazing job! Thanks for coming again this year!
Hope Jamison, Jaymie's daughter blew the crowd away again this year.
Kera Cash was our guest speaker. She kept the audience laughing and crying. She began by having the audience get in their underwear to help her nerves.
Kera lost her daughter to cervical cancer. Meganne was only 22. She said "Who knew this beast was growing inside her daughter?" She urges women everywhere she goes to keep current on their yearly exam. She doesn't want mothers and fathers having to stand next to decorated panties in memory of their daughters. Thanks Kera for a moving speech. Your such an inspiration thank you for sharing Meg's story.
Jordan Jackson followed next with a perfect performance.
Meet Brandon Frazee, who was our emcee for the night. Thanks Brandon for a great job!
Our balloon launch happened at 9:05. People purchased balloons in honor of a loved one.
Donna, an Ovarian Cancer fighter and Kelly, a cervical cancer fighter helped us light our bridge teal. Please pray for these  courageous ladies as they continue their battle.
Kelly, our fighter.

On the count of 5 the ladies flipped the switch and we lit the Purple People Bridge teal for gynecological cancer awareness from Cincinnati to Newport- end to end!
Thank you to Vincent Lighting for doing an amazing job lighting the bridge!

We are so grateful for all that make this happen! Thank you all! We began this event in honor of Jaymie. To help women learn from Jaymie's situation so no one else would have to go through what she did. While this event is still about Jaymie, other women connect to this event as well. It encourages them. They find comfort and inspiration. They are educated. Thank you for connecting to our event. Thank you for helping us eliminate gynecological cancer related deaths.

We can't wait to see what the 5th Annual Panties Across the Bridge entails!
