Living Our Dash

January 2012 The Jaymie Jamison Foundation for Hope had the pleasure of having Linda Ellis speak at our "Teal Your Dash" luncheon. Linda is such an amazing author and motivational speaker. Linda wrote the world famous poem, "The Dash".

Today I had a moment where I thought "Am I making the most of my life? Do I have any regrets?" So my question for you is: are you living your life to the fullest? Would you have any regrets?

There is going to come a day when only the people you know and love are going to remember what your dash is worth. What will you be remembered for? Did you love with all your heart? Linda says its best, material things do not matter... Your house, your car, your cash. What matters most is how you lived and LOVED and how you spent your dash.

With that said- smile more! Say kind words to others. Help others when they need it. Be compassionate. Be a friend to everyone! Love your enemy! You waste more energy not liking someone than being a friend.  Look for the good in everyone.

Is there something you want to change in your life? Don't wait- do it NOW! We are not guaranteed tomorrow- only today! Live your life the way you want to be remembered! You are living your dash!

Please visit Linda's website and read her poem "The Dash."
